The New Map

What’s New

  • The map is larger and contains many more zones.
  • There are 2 types of zones: Military Strongholds and Cities.
  • Alliances will start at the edge of the map.

Goals

  • Alliances must attack and hold a Military Stronghold first.
  • Holding a Military Stronghold allows the alliance to capture Cities.
  • Holding Cities then unlocks the ability to capture more Strongholds.
  • Alliances move inward on the map, capturing higher-tier zones and releasing lower-tier zones.

Process

  • Alliances can capture up to 2 Cities and 2 Strongholds per day.
  • Maximum ownership: 4 Cities and 7 Strongholds.
  • New zones must be adjacent to current zones.
  • After capture, Strongholds must be garrisoned, or the zone is lost.

Rewards

  • Holding Cities grants influence points based on number and level.
  • Each zone gives the alliance a buff (e.g. coins, food, iron, or speed).

Timeline

  • Level 1 zones become capturable on Day 4.
  • Higher-tier zones unlock on a staggered schedule.
  • Capitol is capturable on Day 28.
  • Initially, alliances can only hold 3 Strongholds.

Military Strongholds

How to get:

  • Defeat the zone guardian: the Corruptor and infected zombies.

Requirement:

  • Must have sufficient Virus Resistance to damage the Corruptor.
  • Example: Level 1 Corruptor requires 2,800 resistance.
  • Rally damage depends on the rally leader's resistance level.
  • Insufficient resistance = no damage.

After capture:

  • The Stronghold enters 36-hour protection.
  • During protection, no other alliance may attack.
  • After protection ends, defenders appear.
  • Alliances must defeat defenders to capture the Stronghold again.

Cities



How to get:

  • Reduce City health to 0.
  • Garrison the City within 1 hour to prevent enemy sniping.

Requirement:

  • Cities must be attacked until health reaches 0.
  • First squad to garrison becomes the defending squad.
  • Garrison time is reduced by the number of squads (max 20).

After capture:

  • City has 6-day protection.
  • Can only be attacked on Thursdays and Saturdays.
  • Max: 4 Cities per alliance.
  • Max: 2 war declarations per day.
Note
  • Abandoning a zone takes 1 hour.
  • Time this carefully if at zone limit.
